Outer Wilds is really good. Like really, really good.
Andrew Prahlow is also really good, if you see this, hit me up if you ever visit home here in Florida. I'll treat you to Vietnomz for writing such an inspired soundtrack.

I wanted to try recontextualizing stuff in this. Giving the Travelers parts a minor feel to emphasize the sense of melancholy you get sitting around the campfire with your friends one last time and the pensive nature therein, and giving the End Times parts a more upbeat feel to try to emphasize the sense of wonder in the vastness of space and that new things can spring from the end of old things, that even in the face of a near certain end we can still hope for a happy ending; all culminating in one last bit of melancholy retrospect resolving to an ambience with a sense of calm and serenity as everything more or less blurs and piece by piece fades until there's just one loose guitar left idly drifting into entropy. Sort of this big narrative sense of fanfare and celebration emerging from the somber tones that comes back to mournful reverence and acceptance.
which is a whole lot of pretentious ways of saying I'm beyond enamored with the themes in Outer Wilds and thought it would be cool to see how the story sounds if I change the sound, find new ways to emphasize the hopefulness in it and all that.
